The name, From the Ashes Counseling, comes from the legends of the Phoenix that is reborn out of its own ashes. Jenn believes that this powerful image symbolizes the capacity of each of us for change, growth, and renewal, despite the experiences in our lives that may burden us, or cause us to feel stuck.

Jenn views her clients as the experts of their own experiences and journey and, thus, strives to meet her clients where they’re at, and walk alongside them as they make desired changes. Jenn is especially passionate about working with those who have endured past traumas and attachment wounds which impact their daily lives.

Jenn is a Master’s-level Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and is a Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy-Approved Supervisor. She also serves as a Board Member for the MN Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Jenn works from a trauma-informed lens, is trained in a variety of models for addressing trauma, and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). Jenn accepts most major insurances, and is also a MN Fire Initiative-approved provider and accepts MNFire Assistance Program benefits to support the mental health of firefighters and their families.
