Jasmine Vasquez, LMFT
I believe that one of the most powerful things about therapy is being able to offer a space where it’s safe for you to show up exactly as you are, where both your strengths and your struggles are recognized. When we feel safe, accepted, and understood, it frees us to heal and grow. I know that facing painful emotions and experiences can be hard, and it’s an honor to me to be able to walk alongside clients through their healing. I'm here to listen, hold space for your story and emotions, help you see your strengths, and work together to help you find growth and healing. I have a strong passion for working with trauma, dissociation, and neurodiversity. As a therapist with ADHD, I deeply value collaboratively identifying strategies that will be both successful and sustainable for your unique brain and circumstances, meeting you exactly where you are to help you reach where you want to be.
In addition to talk therapy, I offer expressive modalities such as sandtray therapy, somatic approaches, and art activities. Creative approaches like these can be helpful in processing feelings and experiences that are difficult to talk about, often on a deeper level. Because these approaches work with the "felt sense," they can also be helpful in working with dissociation or preverbal trauma history, and when talk therapy feels like it's at an impasse. I'm also a firm believer that we're never too old to play or be creative in some form, even if it looks different as we get older!
I am a Master’s-level LMFT and have been practicing since 2018. I work from a trauma- and somatic-informed lens, and am trained in Sandtray Therapy and Somatic-Experiential Play Therapy. Additionally, I have completed trainings in dissociation and dissociative disorders and OCD.
